About the Volunteer Center
For more than 30 years, the Pepperdine Volunteer Center has been a place where students, staff, and faculty members live the Pepperdine pledge, "That knowledge calls, ultimately, for a life of service." Our mission is realized in developing and supporting student leaders who engage their peers in meaningful service and build strong partnerships with our community.
The Volunteer Center offers weekly service opportunities that are open to all five schools of the Pepperdine community. If you do not find the type of volunteer opportunity that you seek, please contact us so that we can connect you with an organization in our community that fits your passion. We look forward to serving with you this year!
The PVC supports academic learning by partnering with faculty members on community research and service-learning initiatives. In addition, Project Serve Team Leaders are enrolled in an academic class in the non-profit minor where they engage in best practices for community development and team leadership principles.
We also know that much of student learning takes place outside of the classroom. Student Affairs departments, including this one, seek to support student learning and development. Check out our specific list of Student Learning Outcomes.
