Missions on Skid Row

Union Rescue Mission volunteers - Pepperdine University

The Union Rescue Mission and the Midnight Mission are combined into one Volunteer Center program called Missions on Skid Row. Skid Row is a fifty square block area encompassing one of the largest concentrations of people experiencing homelessness in the United States.

Experience how one or both missions address hunger and homelessness on Skid Row, and learn about the common and different approaches the missions take.

Get Involved

On Friday and/or Saturday, help prepare and serve food to the homeless while working with and getting to know the staff, most of whom are formerly homeless men and women.
