In Palo Alto, CA I own an acai bowl shop, BARE Bowls that serves healthy and tasty food. We have served over 600 health care staff at Stanford Hospital, Sequoia Hospital, UCSF, PAMF, and Menlo Clinic healthy meals while they work! Our community is giving to us online to make this happen so that we can stay open to support our own employees and also serve the medical community who are stepping up for everyone!

When you feel hopeless, HELP!! I am inspired by the healthcare workers, and all essential workers that are stepping up - they are the people showing up and providing bowls is our way of saying thank you and we see you. After receiving the bowls, I get emails, texts, and instagram messages saying how much the staff appreciated the bowls - it brightens my day knowing how big of impact the acai bowls are making during people's shifts.

There is a lot of fear and panic or stress people are facing. I hope the community sees all the hope and kindness going on. I hope the community is experiencing little moments that they used to miss, and feeling thankful for this time. I hope that this time is not wasted but blessed with opportunity and reflection. I don't want to skip over the true hardship people are facing -- but I don't want that to be the only vision we see. There is ongoing beauty all around.
