Joshua Elizondo Offers Inspiration and Guidance to Fellow Foster Youth

Joshua Elizondo, a first-generation college student of color, grew up in the foster care system. As a Pepperdine Horizon Scholars Program recipient, he advocates for foster youth and hopes his efforts will increase the population of fosters at Pepperdine.

Graziadio Student Finds Inspiration to be a More Compassionate Leader

Jeremy Haynes, an ordained minister, earned a leadership degree from COMMUNITAS at Pepperdine’s Center for Faith and Learning which led him to the Graziadio MSOD program on a Founder’s Scholarship. The experience has changed his life as a servant leader. After graduating, Haynes wants to continue to dedicate his life to helping others through investing in education and serving in church ministry.
