Pepperdine Athletics Inducts Five Into the Hall of Fame Class of 2015

Four of Pepperdine University’s all-time great student-athletes, plus the longtime
“Voice of the Waves,” were inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame this fall. The
ceremony was held on Sunday, October 18, in Firestone Fieldhouse, Malibu. This year’s
group joined 110 individuals, 14 teams, and eight special achievement recipients that
have already been enshrined.
The class of 2015 includes Rick Hirtensteiner (’89), baseball; Tom Sorensen, men’s
volleyball; Levy Middlebrooks (’91), men’s basketball; Noelle Porter (’93), women’s
tennis; and Al Epstein, broadcaster.
