Hoop Legacy
Pepperdine Magazine is the feature magazine for Pepperdine University and its growing community of alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends.
While at an away game in Seattle, Washington, at the end of the 2014-2015 season,
the men’s basketball team met Charles “Buck” Smith (’47), a 94-year-old alumnus who
played basketball at Pepperdine during the 1941–1942 and 1942–1943 seasons.
