Heidi Bernard (’85) | Director, Community Engagement
Heidi Bernard (‘85) serves as the director of community engagement for the Integrated
Marketing and Communications office of Pepperdine University. She is responsible
for strategic planning and development of community engagement initiatives that lead
to community impact and engagement, Pepperdine’s positive community reputation, and
relevance to Pepperdine’s neighboring communities, both domestically and internationally.
She oversees the Crest Advisory Board, a community support board for Pepperdine, working
with leaders from Malibu and surrounding communities. Through her role in her career
with Pepperdine, she has partnered with multiple Malibu community organizations, non-profits,
businesses, and individuals to gain support and opportunities for Pepperdine students
and the university community.
Bernard graduated from Pepperdine University’s Seaver College, where she received
her BA in English. She serves as a Malibu/Pacific Palisades board member, president
of the Malibu Navy League, Salvation Army Camp board member, Malibu Veterans Day committee
member, and Malibu Dolphin Charitable Foundation board member.
