RISE Institute

The Resilience-Informed Skills Education (RISE) Institute at Pepperdine University educates and empowers universities, K–12 schools, churches, corporations, and organizations to cultivate resilience within their communities. The RISE Institute builds upon the success of the RISE Program at Pepperdine and other colleges and universities and provides inspiration, resources, and training to equip students, leaders, employees, and community members with practical tools to successfully and confidently navigate life's challenges.

From Pepperdine to the Greater Community

The RISE Institute equips a broad range of communities, each supported with tailored resources and training to foster resilience at every level. By serving students, educators, faith communities, and professionals across various sectors, the RISE Institute ensures its resilience tools are accessible, impactful, and mission-aligned.

Pepperdine RISE Program

Since its founding in 2019, the Pepperdine RISE Program has empowered students to build resilience, care for themselves and others, and navigate life's challenges with strength and purpose. Through practical tools, supportive resources, and a community-centered approach, the RISE Program prepares students not only to “bounce back” when life feels off balance, but to grow through adversity—emerging wiser, stronger, and more grounded than before.
