Office of Community Engagement

Our Mission

The Office of Community Engagement builds relationships between Pepperdine students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents, with individuals, nonprofits, and businesses, in Malibu and around the world, for the mutual benefit of the University community and its neighboring communities.

It does so through the efforts of the Crest Advisory Board (community board) and with strategic planning and development of internal and external engagement initiatives with partners that are in alignment with the University’s values and mission. We work to facilitate these connections through helpful communication channels via the web, social media, and personal connections.

Our Vision

Our vision is to connect our students and faculty experts with business and nonprofit communities to provide service, share knowledge and best practices, create mentorship opportunities, and offer job and intern positions to our students and alumni.

We invite individual residents, nonprofits, and businesses to learn more about Pepperdine University and how they can engage and connect with our talented students, faculty, and staff through the myriad of opportunities that are found on this page and through Pepperdine’s Office of Community Engagement.

Engage Your Business or Nonprofit with the Pepperdine Community

As a business owner looking to hire Pepperdine students or interns, share your business with the university community, or a nonprofit that needs volunteers, we have multiple connection points for you. We have academic classes at the graduate and undergraduate level that will study your business or nonprofit and advise you on best practices.   Pepperdine Athletics has marketing opportunities for businesses and Pepperdine has multiple university events throughout the year that seek sponsorship.  Pepperdine has long-term and short-term academic programs to add to your business acumen and knowledge base.

Residential Community at Large Engages with Pepperdine

Pepperdine invites our neighbors to join us on campus and off campus at special athletic and art/theatre events, family programs, networking opportunities, academic programs, counseling clinics, service projects, facility use and rental, and more.

We love to connect with our community neighbors and have you meet our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parent communities to build strong and lasting relationships.
