2:30 pm, Sandstone Peak
Join Outdoor Recreation and RISE on our sunset hike to Sandstone Peak on Saturday, March 11!
All are welcome for this fun outdoor experience combined with conversation around the social dimension of resilience. Sandstone Peak is a local hike in Malibu with the highest elevation in the Santa Monica mountain range, 3,114 ft! Sandstone Peak is not only known for its great hiking trails, but also its amazing sunset views. This 6.25 mile loop is considered moderately challenging and will be counted as DOUBLE PCT mileage for the Virtual PCT Expedition (12.5 miles for each person who participates)! Though this event is free and we welcome all to join us, we will be offering transportation and dinner following the hike only to students. Registration is required to attend, and we will be giving away 10 lululemon water bottles to any students who register.
Transportation will leave Pepperdine around 1:50pm to get to the trailhead by 2:30pm and we will be returning back to campus at around 6:30pm. Dinner, sponsored by RISE, will be provided to students only following the hike! If you are driving yourself, we ask that you carpool with friends if possible!
We hope to see you there!
