CrossWays Recommendation Form

CrossWays is a life-transforming, nine-day experience at Pepperdine University for high school students in the summer before their junior and senior years. Intended to enrich the students spiritually and academically, CrossWays' goal is to develop strong Christian leaders by equipping them to love and live like Jesus in order to serve and lead as he did.

Students will reflect with and learn from some of Pepperdine's finest professors and college students. Along with classroom experiences and interactive group activities, participants will write a personal statement of faith and develop a Life Map as they become more aware of their giftedness. This process will help students reflect on their past, their current situation, and begin to think critically about upcoming decisions.

Pepperdine's location in Malibu offers exciting opportunities for students to experience the beauty of the California coast, as well as witness the diverse population and fast-paced, secular culture of Los Angeles. Through visiting organizations that serve the city's homeless, students will learn what it means to live a cross-centered life.

Due to space limitations, only 100 students will be accepted into the program. Each student must write an essay response, submit a video introduction, and have a recommendation from a church leader. Please help us get to know your student better by responding to the questions below.

After submitting this form, the student will receive an automatic response informing them that the recommendation has been completed. However, your responses will not be shared with them.
