Meet the 2013-2014 Committee

The following were the 2013-2014 Waves of Innovation Committee members who read and ranked the submissions and recommended 15 to the University president, who announced the Phase I finalists that presented at the Phase II: Waves of Innovation Talks in January 2014.

Alan Beard 
Alan is principal of McBeard Media, which specializes in social media content and advertising. He is an alumnus of Seaver College and the School of Public Policy.

Jade Brice
Jade is an undergraduate student at Seaver College.

Rebecca Carson
Rebecca is the managing director for Pepperdine University Center for the Arts.

Brad Fornaciari
Brad is president of Lighthouse Branding. He is an alumnus and adjunct professor at the Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Lee Kats
Lee is the vice provost for research and strategic initiatives and a professor of biology in Seaver College.

Barry McDonald
Barry is a professor of constitutional law at the School of Law.

Marnie Mitze
Marnie is chief of staff to the president of Pepperdine University.

Dan Morrison
Dan is a professor of sociology at Seaver College.

Linda Polin
Linda is a professor of education and technology at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

Christopher Rovin
Chris is a graduate student in the MBA program at the Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Margaret Weber
Margaret is the dean of the Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
