Academic Excellence Funds
Ensuring high-impact experiences for students at every school, Pepperdine’s Academic Excellence Funds provide flexible, timely support for priority programs and services.
Each of our six schools maintains an Academic Excellence Fund dedicated to supporting the unique programs and priorities within that school. Contributions to these school-specific funds make an immediate impact on students and faculty by providing resources for innovative opportunities that distinguish the Pepperdine experience.
Designated at the discretion of each dean, Academic Excellence Funds provide flexible support for initiatives that enhance both curricular and extracurricular offerings. The funds can be used to support a variety of needs, including faculty research and enrichment, classroom technology improvements, internships, career-coaching opportunities, community-building events and activities, one-time speaker engagements, and a host of on-campus programs that encourage spiritual growth and build Christian character.
The versatility of the excellence fund enables proactive support for strategic projects that advance the University mission and strengthen our community of belonging.

In addition to the school funds, we have established excellence funds for specific priorities within our campaign, to be used at the discretion of the leadership within each area.
The President’s Excellence Fund supports opportunities and resources for University-wide programs that span multidisciplinary studies, further integrate our Christian mission into every aspect of campus life, strengthen our global reputation for service, and accelerate institutional progress.
Pepperdine Athletics has two distinct excellence funds, one supporting the top priorities of our director of Athletics and one recently launched in response to the evolving landscape in collegiate sports—the Waves Athletics Excellence Fund. The new Waves Excellence initiative is providing pathways for direct financial support to student-athletes for institutional name, image, and likeness (NIL) issues and enhanced scholarship flexibility.
The Pepperdine Veteran Affairs Excellence Fund enriches experiences for military-connected students across all six schools. Supporting the work of the PeppVet Center, this fund provides expanded services and addresses the unique challenges of a dedicated cohort of students.
