International Programs
With programs available across four continents, Pepperdine students are able to enhance their college journey by exploring a wide range of regions and cultures.
There are myriad ways Pepperdine carries out its mission to prepare students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership—spiritual mentorship, coaching of student-athletes, and of course through education in the classroom. University leadership, staff, and faculty continually dedicate their energy and care into fostering existing programs and developing new ones to serve students holistically, seeing to it that no aspect of their lives is forgotten, whether it be academic, social, religious, emotional, or otherwise. One of the many ways that Pepperdine recognizes the capabilities of its students and works to provide opportunities for their personal growth and knowledge is through its robust and versatile International Programs. With current options to study abroad in four continents, in regions representing a diverse mixture of cultural and historical backgrounds, Pepperdine students can choose from a number of paths that will strike their personal curiosity and shape their literal worldview in a lasting way.
Buenos Aires offers students incredible opportunities to serve, which is a key part of the high-impact experience we want all our students to have while studying abroad. Students find meaningful ways to connect with the people and culture, which enhances the beauty and power of our carefully designed International Programs.

Where Purpose Meets the World
Many Waves report their time spent overseas among the most impactful and memorable of their many rich experiences during their time at Pepperdine. Through exposure to the landscape, cuisine, customs, lifestyles, religion, governmental systems, and people of areas that are far from home, these young adults expand their awareness of how other cultures exist and in turn grow in their own compassion, resilience, personal resourcefulness, and their ability to reach across societal divides to nurture relationships in a sophisticated and understanding way. With its offering of programs in Argentina, Germany, and Japan, to name just a few, the International Programs office gives our budding scholars the opportunity to explore the world and connect with fellow classmates in truly unique environments, from an 18th-century château in Switzerland to participating in a homestay with a family in Buenos Aires.
Specialized international program options for specific fields of study, such as the Law London Program, a public health-focused experience in Fiji, or the Edinburgh Theatre Program, are also offered, and students can choose between spending a semester or a full year abroad. There are also summer programs for those who may not wish to complete their time abroad during the regular school year or who have specific academic or athletic program requirements that affect their ability to travel during a typical study abroad session. Thanks to a growing number of options—with a program launching in Kyoto in the fall of 2026—they can work with our expert team to select a location and time frame that will best suit their personal interests, academic, and future professional goals. Regardless of where they end up on the globe, Pepperdine students gain irreplaceable experience during their time abroad, make memories they will never forget, and deepen relationships with their peers and the enthusiastic and caring staff and faculty stationed at each of our special International Program sites.
