Prospective Students Admissions
International Admissions Welcome
When you watch and read the news, three things seem to unite or divide us a human beings: politics, economics, and religion. The headlines reinforce our differences. Yet, what our world really needs are more service-minded leaders to help us identify our commonalities and seek collaborative solutions!
George Pepperdine believed that it was possible for a university to be esteemed among the top academic institutions, and also embody the values of a Christian community that truly nurtures the whole person, in and out of the classroom. It is a part of our university's mission to help others, and you will feel it immediately when you visit our campus like I did in 2014!
Purpose. Service. Leadership. These three values are what we seek when hiring faculty and administrators, as well as when we select and enroll students. You can imagine the collective difference we make when an entire community shares those common values!
A truly unique university, Pepperdine stands out among thousands of higher education institutions. Pepperdine is located near one of the world's leading cities (Los Angeles), yet is nestled in our safe and beautiful Malibu community. Innately international, California is a warm and diverse state that is welcoming to countless international companies and communities, so you'll fit in perfectly. Among our student body are more than 1,300 incredibly talented students from over 80 countries.
At Pepperdine, we prepare students for the global marketplace and explore life's biggest questions through the liberal arts. Through service initiatives specific to their fields of study, our students learn to embody the University's motto, "Freely you received, freely give." We are intentional about enrolling students from various backgrounds and viewpoints to educate each other and help us learn to be better citizens, neighbors, and colleagues.
Speaking of different nations, at Pepperdine more than 80 percent of our undergraduate students take advantage of our seven international program locations around the world during their undergraduate experience, in addition to our beautiful Malibu. This has led to Pepperdine being ranked by the Institute for International Education in the top five colleges in the US for study abroad.
Please feel free to contact the Office of International Student Services. We aim to be a helpful resource to you from admissions, to obtaining and helping you maintain your immigration status in the US, to your success as an international student here on campus. It is our joy to help you and your family.
