I-94 Arrival/Departure Record
Arrival in the United States
The Form I-94, "Arrival/Departure Record" is a critical record. It shows that you have been legally admitted to the United States, the class of admission and the authorized period of stay. If you arrive by a land port of entry, you will receive a paper Form I-94. If you arrive at a port of entry by air or sea, an automated Form I-94 record will automatically be generated for you by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers. CBP will provide you with an admission stamp on your passport that is annotated with date of admission, class of admission and admitted-until date. The electronic arrival/departure record can be obtained online.
To obtain your Form I-94 record, go to the CBP website and agree to the terms listed on the page. You will be directed to the Form I-94 information page. Enter your name, date of birth and passport information to retrieve your Form I-94. The Web page gives you the option to "Get Most Recent I-94" or "Get Travel History."
If you select "Get Most Recent I-94," the webpage will display your most recent Form I-94, which includes an I-94 number, most recent date of entry, class of admission and admit until date. You can print this page if needed.
If you select "Get Travel History," you can access your last five years of travel history on the Form I-94. You can also print this information.
